Job Description
Maintain and monitor general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Ensure compliance with TDS, GST, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.

Supervise day-to-day accounting operations of multiple hospital units.
-
Liaise with auditors and support audit processes.
-
Manage vendor payments, payroll accounting, and bank reconciliations.
-
Prepare MIS and variance reports for senior management.
-
Monitor hospital expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Assist with ERP implementation, automation, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:
-
Maintain accurate general ledger and oversee day-to-day accounting activities.
-
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.

Ensure timely closing of books of accounts and reconciliations.

Monitor budgets and assist with hospital financial planning and forecasting.
2. Hospital Billing & Reconciliation:
-
Oversee patient billing cycles, insurance claims, and third-party reimbursements.

Ensure timely reconciliation of hospital billing records with payments received from TPAs, government schemes (e.g., Ayushman Bharat), and direct payments.

Coordinate with the billing department to resolve discrepancies or disputes.
3. Statutory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with applicable laws including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.

Prepare and file monthly/quarterly tax returns and handle assessments or audits.

Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities as needed.
4. Vendor & Payroll Management:

Maintain accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely vendor payments.

Oversee payroll processing and reconciliation with HR department.

Monitor consultant payments, fee splits, and professional tax deductions.
5. Internal Controls & Process Improvements:

Implement and maintain effective financial control systems and policies.

Conduct internal audits and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Train and guide junior accounting staff in maintaining accurate records and standards.
