Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Architectural Designer located in Gurugram. The Senior Architectural Designer will be responsible for architecture design, construction drawings, architectural design, drawing, and urban planning to create detailed and efficient design solutions for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Leadership and Conceptualization:

• Lead the conceptualization and design of architectural projects, ensuring innovative, functional, and aesthetic solutions that align with the client’s vision.

• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide creative, high-quality designs that meet their specifications.

• Develop design concepts, layouts, and schematics for review and approval, maintaining a focus on usability, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness.

• Create detailed and well-structured presentations, proposals, and design mock-ups for client meetings, showcasing key design ideas and concepts.

2. Project Management:

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, overseeing the design process from initial concept to project completion.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that design specifications are met throughout the project lifecycle.

• Coordinate design efforts with other departments and disciplines (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical) to ensure integrated design solutions.

• Review and approve drawings, plans, and documents to ensure compliance with design intent, building codes, and regulations.

• Supervise and mentor junior architects, designers, and interns, providing guidance, feedback, and support as needed.

3. Technical Expertise and Design Documentation:

• Produce detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and 3D renderings, using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, etc.).

• Ensure that all architectural designs and documentation adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., local building codes, zoning laws, sustainability guidelines).

• Generate and manage detailed specifications for materials, finishes, and construction methods.

• Review and revise designs based on feedback from clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

• Oversee the preparation of technical documents and construction drawings, ensuring clarity and completeness for contractors and engineers.

4. Client and Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the design process.

• Present design concepts, progress updates, and final deliverables to clients, ensuring clear communication and addressing any concerns or feedback.

• Coordinate with stakeholders such as city planners, developers, and contractors to ensure that all project requirements are met and that the design aligns with project goals.

• Provide expert advice on material selection, sustainability practices, and emerging design trends.

5. Quality Control and Site Visits:

• Conduct site visits to monitor the progress of construction, ensuring that designs are being implemented as intended.

• Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the construction phase, providing solutions to maintain design integrity.

• Perform quality checks on construction and installation, ensuring that the finished project meets the required specifications and client expectations.

6. Sustainability and Innovation:

• Integrate sustainable design principles into projects, ensuring that designs are energy-efficient, environmentally responsible, and compliant with green building certifications (e.g., LEED).

• Stay updated with the latest trends in architecture, design, materials, and technologies, incorporating innovation and creativity into all design solutions.

• Encourage the use of cutting-edge design software, materials, and technologies to enhance project outcomes and improve design efficiency.
