Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a responsible, organized, and experienced Senior Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our E-commerce warehouse. This role is key to maintaining smooth logistics and inventory processes in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with direct involvement in order processing, inventory accuracy, dispatch, and team coordination.
The Senior Assistant will play a hands-on role in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of online orders, tracking product movements, supporting inventory audits, and collaborating with team members to meet operational targets. Candidates should be well-versed in basic computer operations and warehouse systems and capable of handling physical tasks when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Processing & Fulfillment

Ensure timely picking, packing, and dispatching of e-commerce orders based on the daily order sheet or system-generated reports.

Verify product details, quantities, and barcodes before packing and shipping.

Coordinate with shipping partners (courier/logistics providers) to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
2. Inventory Management

Maintain accurate records of inward and outward inventory through system entry and physical checks.

Assist in stock verification, cycle counts, and periodic audits to minimize discrepancies.

Ensure proper labeling, storage, and binning of products for easy retrieval.
3. System Operations

Use warehouse management software (WMS) or ERP systems to update stock, track orders, and manage shipments.

Generate reports for daily dispatches, inventory status, or return processing.

Ensure barcode scanning and data entry are accurate and up to date.
4. Return & Exchange Handling

Process returns and exchanges received through the online portal or delivery partners.

Inspect returned goods, update return logs, and coordinate restocking or disposal.

Identify repeat issues or product defects and escalate to the supervisor or QA team.
5. Coordination & Team Supervision

Assist the warehouse supervisor in guiding junior staff or new joiners on warehouse protocols.

Allocate daily tasks to helpers or assistants when instructed.

Maintain communication with customer support, inventory, and e-commerce teams for operational alignment.
6. Warehouse Safety & Cleanliness

Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, hygiene, and handling protocols.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from obstruction.

Report damaged goods, faulty equipment, or unsafe practices to the supervisor.
Required Skills:

Basic knowledge of e-commerce warehouse functions

Familiarity with picking, packing, dispatch, and stock management

Proficiency in computer usage – MS Excel, data entry, email, barcode scanning

Ability to operate handheld scanners or Android-based delivery devices

Good verbal and written communication (English and/or local language)

Physical stamina to lift, move, or arrange products if needed
Preferred Qualities:

Punctual, reliable, and capable of working in a team environment

Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required
