Senior Engineer - Ruby on Rails

Experience : 3 - 6 years
Location :
India - Calicut
India - Trivandrum
Responsibilities :
- Design and code using Ruby on Rails
- Review and recommend changes to the code
- Work with UX/PM/Client teams to identify all API requirements
- Perform functional and non-functional tests to ensure overall product quality
- Work with QA to review system test plans and test cases
Requirements :
- Previous implementation and work experience with Ruby on Rails projects
- Exposure to HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax
- Hands on experience with plugins and gems in Ruby
- Understanding of web services - REST, SOAP
- Working knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Ability to handle a UNIX (Linux/Mac) system
- Knowledge of cloud based services such as Amazon AWS, Google storage
- Good knowledge of GIT and GITHUB
- Familiarity with configuration and deployment of Rails applications on a server desirable
- Agile/SCRUM exposure is desirable
