Post: Senior Fitter
Number of vacancies: 4
Qualification; ITI (Fitter)
Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience in RMHS section.
Should have adequate knowledge in different types of crusher, vibrating screen, vibro-feeder, belt conveying system.
In the iron sponge industry, a Senior Fitter's primary role is to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment, ensuring smooth production operations. They also train and guide junior fitters, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
Responsibilities of a Senior Fitter in the Iron Sponge Industry:
Installation and Maintenance:
Installing, assembling, and aligning mechanical components like conveyors, crushers, rotary kilns, and other equipment used in the iron sponge production process.
Performing routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning or broken equipment to minimize downtime.
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.
Inspection and Quality Control:
Conducting regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Inspecting fabricated components to ensure they meet specifications.
Team Leadership and Training:
Guiding and training junior fitters.
Overseeing projects and ensuring quality standards are met.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
Developing layouts and plans for fabricating and assembling structural metal products.
Safety Compliance:
Adhering to safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
Additional Skills and Knowledge:
Fitter's Skills: A Senior Fitter needs a strong understanding of fitting, fabrication, and assembly of structural components.
Welding: Experience in various welding techniques is often required.
Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Problem-solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
