Job Description
Engagement Position: Senior Project Associate (one position)
The project “Securing livelihoods, conservation, sustainable use and restoration of high range Himalayan ecosystems”
Essential Qualification (EQ): Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Science /Ecology/ Forestry/ Environment Science/ Biodiversity Conservation and at least four years of field research experience OR Ph.D in the above subjects
Desirable Qualification (DQ): Experience in assessment of human-wildlife conflicts and/or in the Himalayan region, working with stakeholders, and proven abilities of writing skill
Work description Conduct and coordinate field experiments with team members on the use of indigenous and modern tools for conflict reduction through participatory processes at field sites, conducting workshops, stakeholder consultations, writing reports, preparation of maps, presentations and other related activities.
Duration: Six months
Location of Project sites: HQ and at field sites in Uttarakhand
Emoluments; Rs 42,000/- month + HRA as applicable
Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
