Senior Project Officer / Project Officer - Systems jobs opportunity in IIT Kharagpur

Qualification : BE/B. Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology or Electronics or MCA or M. Sc. (Computer Science or Electronics) or equivalent in related field. Must have good analytical capability and excellent problem solving aptitude . Relevant Experience : Senior Project Officer-Systems: 4 years Project Officer-System: 2 years Must have some of the following skills: o Good knowledge of operating systems (Unix flavor), applications and network (local area and wide area) o Server Administration o Configuring Switch, Router and Firewall o Network Administration o Troubleshooting hardware, software and network o Storage Administration o Good understanding of system security and state-of-the art IDS o Scripting (C-Shell, Perl) o Knowledge of database theory, design, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), and SQL o General understanding of distributed computing architectures, e.g. Client/Server, Internet/Intranet, Enterprise, Cloud o General understanding of the underlying operating system, storage technologies, memory management, disk arrays, NAS/SAN, networking o General understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a Database Responsibilities for the position are several of the followings: o Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems o Performing routine audits of systems and software o Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes o Installing and configuring new hardware and software o Adding, removing, or updating user account, resetting passwords, etc.
Consolidated Compensation : Rs. 35000
