Senior Project Officers / Project Officer  job recruitment in Cochin Shipyard Limited

Senior Project Officers on contract basis

Discipline :  Mechanical

No. of Vacancies :  2 (1UR, 1SC)

Qualification  :  Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 60% of marks from a recognized University.

Discipline :  Electrical

No. of Vacancies :  2 (1UR, 1SC)

Qualification  :  Degree in Electrical Engineering with 60% of marks from a recognized University

Experience :  Minimum of four years post qualification experience/ training in a Ship Building/ Ship Repair Company/ Marine related Engineering Company/ Port /Marine Engineering Training Institute /Heavy Engineering Company / Government/ Semi-Government Company / Establishment. Proficiency and experience of working in a computerized environment would be advantageous.

Remuneration:

First year - Rs.38,000/-

Second year - Rs. 39,000/-

Third year - Rs.40,000/-

Age Limit :   a) The upper age limit prescribed for the post of Senior Project Officers shall be 35 years as on 25 November 2019. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC candidates in posts reserved for them

Project Officer on contract basis

Discipline :  Civil

No. of Vacancy :  1 (SC)

Qualification  :  Degree in Civil Engineering with 60% of marks from a recognized University.

Experience :  Minimum of two years post qualification experience/ training in a Shipyard/ Port/ Heavy Engineering Company /Civil or Infrastructural Construction Company / Government / SemiGovernment Company / Establishment. Proficiency and experience of working in a computerized environment would be advantageous.

Remuneration:

First year - Rs.30,000/-

Second year - Rs.31,000/-

Third year - Rs.32,000/-

Age Limit :   The upper age limit prescribed for the post of Project Officer shall be 30 years as on 25 November 2019.

Application Fee  : 

i) Application fee of Rs.200/- (Non – refundable, plus bank charges extra) should be remitted using the Online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking) which can be accessed through our Online application facility from 06 November to 25 November 2019 . No other mode of payment will be accepted.

ii) Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) need not pay application fee. They are exempted from payment of application fee.

iii) All applicants for whom the fee is applicable, i.e. except those belonging to SC/ST/PwBD, should pay the application fee as stipulated in clause d(i) above. It is important to note that their candidature shall be considered only on receipt of application fee.

Method of Selection :  a) The method of selection will be through Personal Interview to be held at Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kochi. b) Depending upon number of online applications received for all the posts, Shipyard reserves the right to stipulate a minimum mark in the qualifying examination to reduce the number of candidates to be called for interview, in the ratio of 1:6 based on merit/reservation.
