IITB Project Recruitment:
i. Project title: High Temperature Capable Static Seals Technology Development for GasTurbine Application
ii. About the project: The job requires a very good understanding of high temperature materials, bending and springback of materials, both metallic as well as non-metallic, their methods of processing, mechanical behaviour especially at high temperature and under different strain rates, ability to design tools and setups and get them fabricated.
Essential Qualifications & Experience: Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical/ Metallurgical Engg/ Aerospace Engineering OR Graduate in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engg/Aerospace Engineering selected through a process described through any one of the following:
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. with 2 years of research experience
Desirable :
Experience in using simulation software like ANSYS and ABAQUS/ DEFORM/ QFORM or equivalent, for design and analysis of tools /setups would be a requirement. Some programming (development of user codes) might be involved. The incumbent will have to work to the timelines of the project. A candidate satisfying the project requirements and having first class throughout during graduation & post graduation, and at least two years of experience in line with the requirements of the project will be preferred
Job Profile:
The job requires an experimentalist with very good understanding of materials that will serve at around 1000 deg C, coatings to withstand such high temperatures, plastic deformation, bending and springback of coated materials, their methods of processing, mechanical behaviour especially at high temperature and under different strain rates, ability to design tools and setups for deformation at such high temperatures and get them fabricated.
Pay Details: Consolidated salary Rs.35000/- p.m. + HRA
