The Sr. Data Engineer/Analyst role is to develop, deploy, and manage Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, and Data Acquisition solutions for the users in PO&T. The Data Analyst / Insights Engineer is focused on bringing critical insights to the stakeholder community. Working with the business, PO&T IT colleagues, and global IT partners, to provide data products to business stakeholders. Finally the Data Engineer / Analyst ensures the on-going value and use of data products, and other analytics and/or retires them appropriately if they are not in use.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Solution architecture for complex data pipelines.
2. Devise, develop, and deploy required data management solutions in response to business user needs.
3. Develop data models such as Star, Snowflake Schemas for business entities
4. Analyze data sources (from internal and external systems) and create meaningful sense (data models) from disparate sources so that it can be effective in addressing business questions.
5. Develop and maintain analytical solutions to enhance business processes and operations
Key Experience
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in experience in Sql, PL/SQL, Python
• 3-5 years’ experience working with Cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks etc
• 2-3 years’ experience in AWS (DMS, Glue, Lambda)
• 5-7 years’ experience in ETL/ELT ,Datamodelling such as Star Schema etc.
• Experience with Life Sciences related business process domains, such as R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain is beneficial
