Job Description
Profile Summary:
Lead the Marketing and Sales function for Africa Region.
Develops marketing and sales strategy to increase market share and profitability. Organizes and controls implementation of marketing and sales tactics. Handles major sales and negotiation; appoints both agents and distributors and works with them. May also be responsible for developing new business, either by introducing new products or by entering new markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Budget achievement
o P & L. Primary Sales
o Order generation
o Ex-India sales for Assigned Geographies, Africa Region.
2. Secondary, Tertiary Sales & Demand generation for secondary markets.
3. Explore and build new business in existing and new markets - Private and in Tenders
4. Growth of business of the region through Strategic alliances, partnership, acquisitions of products and companies as per company need.
5. Explore and build new business markets in the segment of Private markets and Tender Business markets in Assigned Geographies
6. Develop strategy for effective market penetration – through various channels; identifies sales targets across channels in coordination with Leadership
7. Responsible for leading, developing and implementing strategies for the sub-function in line with the vision/plans, targets and growth imperatives of the overall region
8. Subsidiary Management where applicable– P & L, Sales & Order Generation.
9. Business Planning & Review (Market Assessment/Projection/Competitor Analysis/ Budgeting Etc..)
10. Ensuring implementation of systems, processes and policies that would help drive a high- performance culture aligned to its functional objectives Implementation of Marketing Strategies - corporate and local.
11. Development of Sub regional Heads by on the job training and passing on the country and market info and details so that they are self-reliant. Individual development plan & building a career path for the entire team
12. Business Operations – managing & ensuring cross functional alignment to achieve deliveries
13. To manage team and ensure each team member achieve his/her KRA’s
