Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, attentive, and efficient Service Assistant to join our hospitality team. The Service Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience by welcoming guests, supporting waitstaff, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with food and beverage service. This role requires a service-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Welcoming & Seating:

Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the restaurant or dining area.

Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortably seated.

Provide menus and inform guests that a server will assist them shortly.
2. Table Setup & Cleanliness:
-
Set tables with clean linen, cutlery, napkins, and glassware before guest arrival.

Clear tables after guests leave, ensuring timely removal of used dishes, glassware, and utensils.

Wipe down tables and chairs and reset for the next service.

Maintain overall cleanliness and hygiene of the dining and serving areas.
3. Beverage & Water Service:

Serve water and beverages promptly upon guest seating.

Refill water glasses and assist in delivering beverages or food when needed.

Help waitstaff with serving and clearing, especially during peak hours.
4. Stocking & Station Maintenance:
-
Ensure serving stations are stocked with trays, condiments, utensils, napkins, and other essentials.

Refill condiments and clean stations regularly to maintain a tidy and organized setup.

Monitor and report low inventory to supervisors for restocking.
5. Assistance in Kitchen & Stock Management:
-
Assist with receiving and unloading supplies, stock organization, and transport to storage or kitchen.

Support kitchen or service staff in basic food prep activities as needed (e.g., plating, packing, etc.).

Ensure waste is disposed of properly and that hygiene standards are upheld at all times.
Skills Required:
Good communication skills and customer-focused attitude
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety practices
Physical stamina to stand and move for long periods
