Job Description
We are searching for a detail-orientated, deadline-driven service engineer to join our growing company. The service engineer's responsibilities include repairing faults, servicing equipment, creating preventative maintenance strategies, and updating user manuals. You should provide friendly, efficient service at all times.
To be successful as a service engineer, you should be knowledgeable about machines and willing to accept constructive criticism. Ultimately, an outstanding service engineer will exhibit resourcefulness as well as superb active listening and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Maintenance:
- Install and configure equipment, machinery, or software at client locations.
- Conduct regular maintenance and preventive servicing to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform system upgrades, updates, and calibration as needed.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues and breakdowns efficiently.
- Use diagnostic tools, software, and equipment manuals to identify faults.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components.
- Work closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely issue resolution.
Customer Support & Training:
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits.
- Train customers on proper equipment usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Address customer concerns, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
- Document and report technical issues, resolutions, and customer feedback.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs.
- Prepare technical documentation, manuals, and maintenance schedules.
- Provide feedback to R&D and quality teams for continuous product improvement.
Compliance & Safety:
- Follow safety guidelines and industry standards while performing repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and operational procedures.
- Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and service equipment.
