Job Description

We are hiring now service engineer for our firm in multiple places. Applicant must know English language. Freshers also can apply.


Position Overview:
A Service Engineer in a pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing company is responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing specialized machinery and systems used in pharmaceutical production. The role ensures that equipment such as tablet presses, capsule filling machines, blister packing lines, coating machines, granulators, and other process equipment operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with strict regulatory requirements. The Service Engineer works closely with clients, technical teams, and production staff to minimize downtime and optimize performance while adhering to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Commissioning

  • Carry out installation of pharmaceutical machinery at client sites, ensuring correct alignment, calibration, and integration with other systems.

  • Conduct commissioning activities including test runs, validation support, and performance checks.

  • Provide training to client staff on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.

  • Prepare detailed installation and commissioning reports.

2. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines to ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software-related issues.

  • Replace faulty parts, calibrate sensors, and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

  • Maintain a database of maintenance activities for compliance and traceability.

3. Technical Support

  • Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to clients regarding operational issues.

  • Liaise with the internal engineering department to resolve complex technical problems.

  • Assist in software updates, control panel modifications, and integration of new components.

4. Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure all service activities are performed in accordance with GMP, cGMP, FDA, WHO, and other applicable pharmaceutical regulations.

  • Maintain service logs, calibration certificates, and validation documents.

  • Support clients during regulatory inspections by providing equipment maintenance records.

5. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong working relationships with client engineers, production staff, and quality control teams.

  • Gather feedback on equipment performance and relay to the design and manufacturing teams for product improvement.

  • Promote after-sales service packages and spare parts availability.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Provide inputs to R&D and manufacturing teams for design improvements based on field experience.

  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on the latest technologies in pharmaceutical equipment.

  • Suggest enhancements in maintenance processes to reduce downtime and increase reliability.

7. Safety and Compliance

  • Follow all safety protocols while working with electrical systems, high-speed machinery, and hazardous environments.

  • Ensure that safety guards, interlocks, and protective devices are in place and functional.

  • Conduct risk assessments before performing maintenance activities.

Key Skills and Competencies:

1. Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical machinery such as tablet presses, capsule filling machines, blister packers, coating machines, fluid bed dryers, and granulators.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.

  • Familiarity with PLC systems, automation controls, and HMI interfaces.

2. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting

  • Analytical thinking to quickly identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions.

  • Ability to work under pressure to resolve breakdowns in a timely manner.

  • Skilled in mechanical adjustments, electrical repairs, and calibration.

3. Regulatory Knowledge

  • Understanding of cGMP requirements for equipment cleaning, maintenance, and documentation.

  • Knowledge of validation processes including IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), and PQ (Performance Qualification).

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry audits and inspections.

4. Communication Skills

  • Clear verbal and written communication to explain technical issues to clients and non-technical staff.

  • Ability to prepare professional service reports, maintenance logs, and customer feedback forms.

  • Good interpersonal skills to build long-term relationships with customers.

5. Customer Service Orientation

  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and reliability.

  • Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure equipment runs smoothly.

  • Proactive approach in identifying potential problems before they escalate.

6. Organizational and Time Management Skills

  • Ability to plan service visits efficiently to minimize travel time and costs.

  • Prioritizing urgent breakdowns while balancing scheduled maintenance.

  • Maintaining accurate inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.

7. Adaptability and Learning

  • Flexibility to work in different environments including cleanrooms, production lines, and R&D labs.

  • Willingness to travel frequently for domestic and international service calls.

  • Eagerness to learn new equipment models and technologies.

8. Safety Awareness

  • Adherence to workplace safety procedures while handling high-speed machinery, electrical systems, and compressed air lines.

  • Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and lockout/tagout procedures during servicing.

  • Understanding of hazard identification and risk mitigation in a pharmaceutical production environment.
