Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of our electronic security and automation systems at client sites. This role demands strong technical knowledge, a problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Installation & Commissioning

Perform installation and setup of equipment or machinery at client sites.

Ensure that all systems are configured and operating according to specifications.

Provide basic training to clients on the use, maintenance, and safety of installed systems.
2. Maintenance & Repairs
-
Conduct routine preventive maintenance (scheduled servicing) as per the maintenance calendar.

Respond to service calls and perform diagnostics on reported issues (electrical, mechanical, electronic, etc.).

Replace faulty components, repair equipment breakdowns, and ensure full functionality.

Minimize downtime by troubleshooting quickly and effectively.
3. Technical Support

Offer remote or on-site support to customers via phone, video call, or physical visit.

Provide solutions to common technical queries and usage-related issues.

Assist clients with software or firmware updates where applicable.
4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, spare parts used, and customer feedback.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly service reports for internal review.

Document recurring issues or equipment failure trends to suggest design or process improvements.
5. Customer Interaction & Satisfaction

Communicate professionally with clients, ensuring their expectations are met.

Offer guidance on safe operation and proper care of equipment.

Follow up with customers post-service to ensure equipment is working and satisfaction levels are high.
6. Quality & Compliance

Follow all safety, quality control, and compliance protocols while working at client sites or company facilities.

Ensure the use of genuine parts and tools as per company guidelines.

Adhere to timelines and service SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
7. Team Coordination

Collaborate with internal departments like R&D, production, and sales to understand product updates or customer expectations.

Coordinate with logistics or inventory teams to ensure availability of spare parts and tools.
