Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Engineer to join our technical support team. The primary responsibility of this role is to handle the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and after-sales service support of Dot Peen and Laser Marking Machines at client locations.
This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a customer-oriented attitude. As a Service Engineer, you will represent the company at client sites, ensuring machines are installed correctly, operate efficiently, and are serviced promptly whenever required. You will also play a vital role in providing training to customers on proper machine operation and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Commissioning

Perform on-site installation of Dot Peen and Laser Marking Machines at customer premises.

Ensure proper setup of hardware and software components as per manufacturer guidelines.

Calibrate and test machines for accuracy and efficiency during installation.

Configure machine parameters based on the customer’s product requirements.

Provide on-site demonstration and training to customers on machine operation and safety standards.
2. Maintenance and Repair

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on installed machines as per service schedules.

Diagnose faults or performance issues and troubleshoot them efficiently.

Replace defective parts and upgrade components when necessary.

Maintain service logs and ensure documentation of all service visits and maintenance tasks.
3. After-Sales Technical Support

Respond to service calls, emails, or complaints related to machine performance.

Provide remote assistance via phone, email, or video support when possible.

Coordinate with internal teams for spare parts, technical escalation, or product issues.

Ensure quick turnaround time and minimal downtime for customers.
4. Customer Training and Guidance

Educate customers on operational best practices and daily maintenance routines.

Train end-users on software interfacing, design inputs, and routine troubleshooting.

Address technical questions and clarify user doubts post-installation.
5. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, repairs, and machine history.

Submit detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and feedback forms to the head office.

Report recurring issues or common failures to the product and R&D teams for improvement.
6. Coordination and Planning

Work closely with the service coordinator or technical support manager for visit scheduling.

Maintain spare parts inventory and tools required for field visits.

Plan site visits efficiently to reduce travel time and improve customer satisfaction.
7. Customer Relationship Management

Build trust and rapport with clients through courteous and timely service.

Gather customer feedback and share improvement suggestions with the internal team.

Identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities for spare parts, upgrades, or annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
