Job Description
- Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the operation of various systems, troubleshooting and fixing problems, providing technical support, and improving system processes.

- Assess, install, and maintain various types of equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair system failures or malfunctions.
- Provide technical support to clients and colleagues
- Analyze equipment performance data and make necessary adjustments or recommendations
- Write service reports and document all maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Key Responsibilities
1. Installation and Commissioning

Install and configure equipment, machinery, or systems at customer locations according to specifications and safety protocols.

Conduct site readiness assessments and coordinate with clients or contractors for necessary preparations.

Perform functional testing and ensure the equipment is operational and aligned with user requirements.
2. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance

Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of equipment.

Diagnose malfunctions and perform corrective maintenance and repairs either onsite or remotely.

Replace faulty components, update software/firmware, and calibrate machines as needed.
3. Troubleshooting and Technical Support

Respond promptly to customer service calls, emails, or tickets.

Analyze technical problems and provide real-time support to resolve issues.

Maintain detailed documentation of service reports, repairs made, parts used, and observations.
4. Customer Training and Demonstration

Educate clients and end-users on proper usage, care, and maintenance of the product or system.

Provide handover documentation and user manuals where applicable.

Conduct technical workshops or training sessions when needed.
5. Spare Parts and Inventory Management

Maintain a log of frequently required spare parts and consumables.

Coordinate with inventory and procurement teams to ensure availability of parts for service operations.

Keep tools and equipment in proper working condition.
6. Compliance and Safety

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines during site visits and service activities.

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards (ISO, CE, etc.).

Report potential hazards or risks to the service manager or safety team.
7. Feedback and Reporting

Collect client feedback after every service intervention and suggest areas of improvement.

Submit detailed service reports to management, including time spent, challenges faced, and service quality metrics.

Assist R&D or product teams with field feedback to improve product design or reliability.
