Job Description
Act as a shift technician to perform PM, CM & BM on port equipment
Able to troubleshoot RTG, QC and reach stacker electrical system
Able to troubleshoot PLC and drive systems.
Able to read Electrical drawings
Port Experience Needed
Key Responsibilities:

Preventive, Corrective, and Breakdown Maintenance (PM, CM & BM):
-
Perform regular preventive maintenance on port equipment (RTG, QC, Reach Stackers) to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
-
Conduct corrective maintenance on port equipment to address issues as they arise, ensuring minimal impact on operations.

Respond promptly to breakdowns, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults to restore equipment to optimal condition.

Troubleshooting and Repair:
-
Troubleshoot electrical systems, including power supplies, control panels, and motor drives, for RTGs, QCs, and Reach Stackers.
-
Diagnose and repair PLC and drive systems, ensuring efficient and reliable equipment operation.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as sensors, actuators, motor drives, and control circuits.

PLC and Drive Systems:
-
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on PLC-controlled systems used in port equipment.
-
Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC drive systems, including variable frequency drives (VFDs), and identify and address issues related to drive components.
-
Ensure proper configuration and calibration of PLC and drive systems to meet performance and safety standards.

Reading and Interpreting Electrical Drawings:
-
Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to identify components, troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs.

Use electrical drawings to guide maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards.

Electrical System Maintenance:
-
Inspect, test, and maintain electrical control systems, cables, switches, and other equipment related to port machinery.

Perform electrical system inspections to detect any signs of wear, corrosion, or potential issues.

Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.

Safety and Compliance:
-
Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment while performing maintenance tasks on port equipment.

Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to maintenance and electrical work.

Participate in safety drills, risk assessments, and ensure all safety equipment is used appropriately.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, and troubleshooting logs.

Provide detailed reports on breakdowns, repairs, and any recurring issues to the Maintenance Manager.

Ensure all work is documented according to company and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and systems to increase operational efficiency.

Suggest and implement improvements to the maintenance workflow and equipment performance.
-
Stay up to date with new technologies, best practices, and industry trends in port equipment and electrical systems.
