1. Position: Assistant Professor
2. Eligibility Criteria: For the Assistant Professor position all the applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
a) Ph.D. degree (Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting their viva-voce can also apply).
b) Candidate has published one research paper in a refereed journal or in an edited volume. Acceptance for publication at the time of application will be considered.
c) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference/seminars.
3. Job Description: The Department of History and Archaeology, SNU seeks applications from eligible candidates in the field of Modern History. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Modern South Asian History and be interested in addressing conceptual and empirical themes in their teaching and research. We are seeking applications in the following areas of interest but not limited to:
a) Environmental History
b) Urban History
c) Medical History
d) Legal History
The successful candidate will teach courses at both the Undergraduate and Doctoral levels and supervise Ph.D. theses. They will also be expected to undertake rigorous research in their respective field of expertise.
