Job Description
Job Summary:
You will be responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep, repair, and maintenance of equipment, tools, and facilities within the shop. This role involves conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations to maintain an efficient and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of shop equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with shop equipment and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor and replenish supplies, tools, and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with vendors for parts and specialized repairs.
- Assist in installing, modifying, or upgrading shop equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, completed work, and equipment performance.
- Support production and operations teams with any maintenance-related concerns.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience in shop maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
