Job Description
The Site Engineer is responsible for the technical management of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to oversee all on-site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision and Management:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day site operations.
- Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site personnel.
- Monitor progress and identify potential delays or issues.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical advice and support to site personnel.
- Interpret and implement engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site surveys and set out works.
- Resolve technical problems that may arise during construction.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
- Inspect work for compliance with specifications and standards.
- Conduct material testing and inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests.
- Health and Safety:
- Enforce health and safety regulations on site.
- Conduct site safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Promote a safe working environment.
- Ensure all workers have the proper safety equipment.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, site diaries, and variation orders.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to project managers.
- Document and report any incidents or accidents.
- Maintain as built drawings.
- Materials Management:
- Monitor and control the delivery and storage of materials.
- Ensure that materials are used efficiently and effectively.
- Track material quantities and costs.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
