Job description:-
Metallurgical engineers work with metals and alloys in a variety of industrial and manufacturing settings. They are primarily responsible for analyzing metals and alloys to determine their physical and chemical properties.
Ø providing technical advice about the suitability of metals for different purposes
Ø making recommendations and advising about product feasibility
Ø undertaking new product research
Ø creating precise designs for components
Ø developing prototypes and innovative solutions to problems
Ø investigating corrosion and metal failure/fatigue
Ø liaising with and supervising engineering and technical staff
Ø ensuring adherence to manufacturing quality standards
Ø overseeing operational quality control processes
Ø using specialist computer applications
Although metallurgical engineers focus on many different areas, most share several duties across industries
