Job Description:
- Contribution to the SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) agenda, ensuring that applications under your remit run seamlessly
- Laser focus on build-deploy-test-release process, leveraging automation to reduce toil
- Partnering with AD teams yet holding them accountable for the stability of the system
- In-depth knowledge of the platform, how it is built and how it is used by the end-users and liaising with the users to address their grievances
- Leveraging system metrics to highlight problems before they happen
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
- Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
- Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, particularly SQL
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
- A DevOps mindset required for SRE
- Comfort with frequent incremental coding, testing and deployment
- Experience with leveraging SCM and CIT tools
- Ability to work across teams, re-engineering processes to achieve results
