Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Ensure proper handling, installation, and finishing of works.
Monitor quality standards and adherence to project specifications.
Manage labor teams and subcontractors effectively.
Track materials, tools, and site logistics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Execution
-
Supervise and monitor the daily activities of glass installation teams and subcontractors at the site.

Ensure that all installation work is carried out according to the approved architectural and technical drawings.

Conduct daily site briefings and delegate tasks to workers based on project priorities.
-
Inspect scaffolding, lifting equipment, and site conditions to ensure proper setup for glass handling and installation.
2. Coordination with Project Stakeholders
-
Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients to ensure work progresses as per the project timeline.

Communicate material delivery schedules, manpower requirements, and on-site challenges to relevant departments.

Attend project review meetings and provide on-site progress updates.
3. Quality Control & Technical Compliance
-
Ensure the installation of architectural glass panels, curtain walls, canopies, partitions, balustrades, and other related components meet quality and safety standards.
-
Verify the alignment, levelling, sealant application, and fitting accuracy of glass panels.
-
Identify defects or deviations from design and initiate corrective measures promptly.
-
Ensure proper use of spacers, fittings, silicon sealants, and weatherproofing materials.
4. Health & Safety Compliance
-
Enforce health and safety regulations on-site and ensure all workers wear PPE.

Conduct toolbox talks and ensure that glass handling, cutting, lifting, and installation are performed safely.

Maintain site cleanliness and prevent hazards related to glass shards, tools, or machinery.
5. Resource Management
-
Monitor and manage the deployment of manpower and tools at the site.

Coordinate material unloading and storage to prevent breakage or delays.
-
Maintain a record of daily attendance, work completed, and material usage.
6. Documentation & Reporting
-
Prepare daily site progress reports and share updates with the project coordinator or office.
-
Maintain installation checklists, site diaries, and inspection records.
-
Document incidents, delays, or material shortages and escalate them as necessary.
7. Problem Solving
-
Resolve day-to-day site issues independently and in coordination with the project team.
-
Address any alignment, fitting, or glass compatibility issues with technical accuracy.
-
Provide technical inputs to workers and assist in the interpretation of complex drawings.
Technical Skills
-
Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings (AutoCAD knowledge is a plus)
-
Knowledge of different types of architectural glass (toughened, laminated, DGU, frosted, etc.) and fitting systems
-
Understanding of structural supports, framing systems, sealants, fasteners, and anchoring methods
-
Familiarity with handling equipment like glass lifters, suction pads, cranes, and scaffolding
