Position Overview:
We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and digitally savvy Social Media Intern to join our marketing team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about social media, branding, and digital communication to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of online marketing.
As a Social Media Intern, you will work closely with the marketing and content team to create engaging content, manage posting schedules, interact with followers, track performance, and support our brand’s online presence across various platforms. This is an ideal role for students or recent graduates looking to build a career in digital marketing, content creation, or social media management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation & Planning:

Assist in brainstorming, planning, and creating content (posts, stories, reels, videos, etc.) for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and others.

Write engaging and grammatically correct captions, hashtags, and descriptions.

Design simple graphics, templates, or social media creatives using tools like Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar (basic design skills sufficient).

Contribute fresh and creative ideas for campaigns, contests, and seasonal promotions.
2. Posting & Scheduling:

Schedule and publish posts across multiple platforms using scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, Hootsuite).

Ensure posts go out at the right time, with correct tags, hashtags, and mentions.

Maintain and update the monthly content calendar in coordination with the marketing team.
3. Community Management:

Monitor comments, messages, and mentions on all platforms and respond in a timely, respectful, and brand-consistent manner.

Engage with followers, influencers, and potential customers by liking, commenting, sharing, or resharing user-generated content.

Flag any negative feedback, spam, or inappropriate content to the supervisor immediately.
4. Analytics & Reporting:

Track basic metrics such as likes, shares, saves, comments, reach, impressions, and follower growth.

Assist in creating weekly or monthly social media performance reports.

Suggest improvements or adjustments based on engagement data and insights.
5. Research & Trend Monitoring:

Stay updated with the latest social media trends, viral challenges, audio, memes, and platform features.

Research competitors, influencers, and market leaders to benchmark content styles and strategies.

Assist in identifying emerging influencers or creators for potential collaborations.
6. Campaign Support:

Support the team during specific marketing campaigns, events, or product launches.

Assist in live coverage of events, including taking behind-the-scenes photos/videos and live posting if needed.

Help coordinate giveaways, polls, or interactive content to increase engagement.
Required Skills and Competencies:

Creativity: A strong sense of visual and written storytelling with an eye for aesthetics.

Communication: Clear and engaging writing style, especially for social media audiences.

Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines and work within a structured content calendar.

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and basic tools like Canva, Google Docs, or Sheets.

Attention to Detail: Capable of proofreading captions and ensuring brand consistency in tone and design.
