About Smile Foundation

Smile Foundation is a national level development organization directly benefiting over 4,00,000 children and their families every year, through 158 welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood, and women empowerment, in more than 700 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.

About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Move with 1 Smile on Wheels health van as per the roster for our project with Practo
2. Approach beneficiaries who walk up to the van in the community it is parked in and explain to them about Practo Seva
3. Help those beneficiaries who have smartphones to download the app
4. Help those beneficiaries who do not have smartphones by use of Practo Seva services via the app through the volunteer's/intern's phone
5. Explain about free teleconsultation & home care packages of Practo for patients that can be availed via the app
6. Understand if patients/beneficiaries are facing issues with the app and need support and clarifications
7. Maintain an Excel sheet with details of beneficiaries who have received medical kits, have downloaded the app, and issues faced by them to be shared weekly

Who can apply

Only those candidates can apply who:

1. are available for full time (in-office) internship

2. can start the internship between 20th Jul'21 and 24th Aug'21

3. are available for duration of 1 month

4. have relevant skills and interests

Other requirements

1. Should have a smartphone

2. Should be able to reach the SOW van location every day via their own mode of transport or metro

3. Should be able to understand Hindi, English &Tamil

4. Should have the ability to maintain a database on Excel sheet
