Qualification : A person must have Post Graduate Degree from recognized university in Social Work or Psychology or Sociology or child development or home science.

Home study report of the PAPs in India by the social worker : Rs. 6000/-(inclusive of travel expenses)
Post follow -up adoption visits and counseling(4 times within a period of two years)- Rs.2000 per visit/Report (inclusive of travel expenses)
Selection Procedure: 1. The selection of the eligible candidate may be conducted by a District Selection Committee under the chairmanship of the Collector & District Magistrate with members such as ADM , DWO , DSWO & DCPO [Convener]. 2. The recruitment shall be conducted through a transparent procedure including advertisement for the post in at least two widely circulated news papers . The fund for such advertisement shall be spent from contingency fund of DCPU.

The District is surrounded by Angul District on its east and south, Sambalpur District on its west and Sundargarh District on its north.
