Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:
As a Software Developer you will be Part of a global team that works on developing the core operator infrastructure of a key building block of IBMs Hybrid Cloud Computing stack. The key skills required are Container technologies, Kubernetes Operator, Open Shift, GoLang. Excellent programming and crisp communication skills are essential
What you’ll do:
As a Software developer, you will be involved in the development and support activities. You will be part of the team that develops the overall architecture and infrastructure of the various components within the Hybrid Cloud Stack. You will be required to produce code that is secure, scalable, and reliable, supported by unit tests, functional tests, and technical documentation.
You will also be required to participate in code reviews for your peers' development work, triage and solve live customer issues, and participate in all scrum activities. Additionally, you will monitor, measure, and improve code and data performance for the application you help to develop. All of this will take place in a strong team environment, which necessitates strong communication.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 3-4 years of IT Experience.
- Strong experience in delivering code for active Cloud services/projects.
- Excellent understanding of cloud native development, cloud computing, distributed systems and container orchestration technology such as Kubernetes.
- Excellent knowledge in at least one scripting and programming languages Python and GoLang . Exposure to AI frameworks is an added advantage.
- Experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS, VMware, Azure, and/or SoftLayer
- Integration experience with enterprise tools and back office systems is a big plus
- Experience in Docker /Kubernetes programming.
- Experience working on controllers.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- The candidate should be passionate about programming and developing new applications with a penchant for high code quality and to learn new industry best practices.
- The candidate should be passionate about developing highly performant, scalable and resilient cloud native applications.
