Software Developer - IBM Runtime
What you’ll do:
- Drill down customer application problem into a simplistic Java test case
- Debug performance, memory leaks, Crashes, functional issues and fix bugs
- Write Script in Perl, shell or python or similar such skills to help automate debug analysis wherever feasible.
- Interact with Product L2 & Customer through Salesforce.
- Contribute bug fixes to Open J9, Open JDK.
- Contribute in other Open-source communities, and gain eminence as an Open-Source Developer

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- 2 - 7 years of relevant work experience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expert C and C++ programming skills
- Proven knowledge of operating systems internals and systems programming
- Proven communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and explore new technical areas independently
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience:
- Knowledge of Java programming and jvm/virtual-machine internals
- Experience working with git, jenkins, maven and other open-source tools, also debugging tools such as gdb.
- Experience and knowledge of Docker, Kuebernetes and other Cloud-related technologies
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
