Overall Purpose Of Role
- The candidate would be supporting the Global Macro Business Management team as part of Macro Business Analytics team, Mumbai.
- Macro Business Analytics team in Mumbai is responsible for producing business critical MIS reports, Business Strategy presentations, Business Performance reviews, Revenue Forecasting Models, Budgeting Models and performing ad-hoc customized analysis.
- The candidate would predominantly support the team based out of London. However, might require to work in NYK hrs on some days.
- Production of Business MI and Strategy Presentations
- Production of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and trend analysis
- Production of reports and analysis of drivers for trading revenues, volumes, margins, market share, RWA, LBS etc.
- Production and maintenance of dashboards
- Ad-hoc customized analysis as required by the business managers to analyze the business performance or lead/lag indicators
- The candidate would need to interact with business managers, trading desks and supporting infrastructure and control teams spread worldwide as Barclays Macro business encompasses all the regions globally.
- The candidate will have to be proactive in identifying issues and getting them resolved by aliasing with various stakeholders
- The candidate needs to work on several time sensitive activities and hence is required to be meticulous and efficient
- The candidate should have great eye for detail and should ensure that he/she meets the zero error tolerance requirement as most output forms a critical input for business decision making
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
- Person Specification: Personal attributes essential to performing role including competencies, expertise, knowledge, and experience.
- Willing to work in EMEA hours; also might require to work in NYK hrs as well on some days
- Good understanding of Macro Business and financial markets
- Experience of creating, enhancing and producing Business MI
- Good MS Excel knowledge
- Experience in creating visualization tools in Tableau/Qlikview/QlikSense
- Should possess strong coding skills in VBA and Python
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral/written)
- Hands on experience in VBA, Python
