Software Development Engineer Jobs in Bangalore - LogMeIn

As an experienced Manager in the Unified Communication & Collaboration  vertical, you will play a key role in leading a team in developing and maintaining complex Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) production software for our GoTo products. The role requires strong hands on technical skills to lead a team of technical experts and influence technical solutions and manage & motivate the team to achieve targeted goals. This position will be responsible for projects that are complex, challenging, and exciting.

You & your team will be part of a larger (geo-distributed) team, and by working closely with other key stakeholders, you will help achieve functionality critical to our business success.

Responsibilities

• Manage a product development team to lead & deliver awesome features, new capabilities for LogMeIn’s GoTo product family.
• You will be technically hands on and contribute to design and implementation of high scaling and performing applications.
• Drive the next generation of our architecture of our GoTo product focusing on security and scale.
• Help team in implementation, debug, & troubleshoot complex frontend solutions.
• You collaborate with Product Owners, UX and set appropriate goals & tasks to your team members and help achieve to deliver high quality web applications
• Work in a cross-functional Agile development team.
• Hire team members, mentor them and be responsible for their performance & career pathing.
• You would be directly responsible for managing a team of strong technical & highly aspiring individuals.
• Independent technical contribution(40%) & people management(60%).
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field is preferred, with 10-12years of directly related work experience ; with at least 3 years of people management (people directly reporting to you) experience.
• Hands on experience in browser extension and frontend development with the following technologies: JavaScript, React, Redux, React-Native, Electron, TypeScript, etc
• Hands on experience in Java, J2EE skills, and current frameworks (Spring, Spring Cloud, Microservices, etc).
• You have strong hands on experience with AWS technologies and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with version control, build and bug tracking systems such as Jenkins, BitBucket, and JIRA. Follow industry best CI/CD practices.
• Experience implementing, unit testing, debugging and integrating code of high complexity.
• Experience in leading teams in architecting & designing complex SaaS applications (preferably end to end – backend & frontend components)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English . Very good collaboration skills with distributed-geo teams.
• Acts as a single point of contact in interacting with engineering team’s other departments (Products, Marketing, Care, Research, Ops) on technical matters, product deliverables, status and risks.
• Responsible for planning, prioritizing, organizing and performing technical work and ensuring the integrity of significant and diverse projects; provides significant input to the analysis and conceptual design of proposed projects.
• Proven experience of KPI/metrics based tracking & proactive risk management .
• Experience in managing teams that has built services or products with high availability, scalability, reliability and security aspects.
• Managing teams and scaling up their productivity and setting high quality standards while meeting tough deadlines.
• Experience in hiring and building teams that can work in an agile and fast-paced manner.
