According to the survey, carried out by a number of agencies, more than 70 percent of our engineering graduates do not get jobs whereas indian startups struggle to find skilled college graduates. The expectations that the companies have from their candidates and the skills that the engineering graduates bring in do not match
To identify the cause of this problem we conducted workshops in many tier two colleges and were shocked to see the result as majority of Computer Science students were not aware of the terms like frontend and backend. They are intelligent enough to learn the skills but are not aware of the skills which are trending in software industry.
India produces 1.5 million engineers every year from 4000 institutes which is more engineers from then USA and China Combined. With trends changing at lightening speed, students also need to be at par with it. At Trending skill we are trying to solve the same problem by making undergraduates aware of all the skills which are trending in industry. Currently we are working for computer science branch but soon we will be in all other branches too.
