Job Description
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent area
- 3-5 years of experience in software development building complex enterprise systems that involve large scale data processing
- Broad experience across the following application development technologies and in-depth skills with at least one Spark/Scala, C#, Go Lang
- Hands-on experience with databases like PostgreSQL or MSSQL is required
- Knowledge of document stores like Elasticsearch or MongoDB is desirable
- Hands-on experience with Big Data processing technologies like Hadoop/Spark is required
- Strong cloud infrastructure experience with AWS or Azure
- Experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
- Experiences of engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application security
- Knowledge of Agile software development process

What You'll Do
You will be a core member of Periscope’s technology team working on our core enterprise products.
As a Software Engineer, your expertise will expand into database design, core middle tier modules, performance tuning, cloud technologies, DevOps and continuous delivery domains. On a typical day, you will code and implement designs. You will also document technical implementations.
You will work on new open source libraries. You will get an opportunity to work on unfamiliar technologies and learn new programming languages in your spare time.
You have a good understanding of key agile engineering practices to guide teams on improvement opportunities in their engineering practices.
