Specific responsibilities will include:
- Working with and designing application solutions and the systems that them at scale
- Act as a technical liaison between business, architecture and development
- Thought leadership within a very sophisticated IT landscape and become the trusted adviser to different stakeholders in the organization, enabling others to become effective
- Be a thought leader and comfortable in speaking in public. Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many knowledge sessions to transfer learnings to stakeholders
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the engineering community
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Influencing senior stakeholder and working in large complex enterprise environments
- Experience architecting application solutions with specific recommendations on transaction flow and use of available products
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong experience with resilience and performance testing environment set-up & management
- Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages, expert in development of scalable enterprise applications using J2EE and Micro Services
- Expert level knowledge with Enterprise Java development, In-Memory Databases (Redis or Gemfire), Messaging (Apache Kafka), Stream processing (NiFi or Storm or Spark Streaming etc.), Spring Framework / Spring Boot
- Knowledge of industry wide API technology strategies and best practices
- Working experience in an Agile environment
- Knowledge of API protocols and development methodologies
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Public/Private Cloud Experience from major providers (such as: AWS / Azure / Google Cloud / Gaia)
- Container Orchestration/Virtualization Experience (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
- Exposure to real time payment processing (Visa, MC, Amex, etc)
- Basic security fundamentals and knowledge
