Job Description
About the position:
- The development job profile summarize the skills and competencies at each level of progression.
- Advancement in development is achieved through mastery and broad application of technology, through ever increasing span of influence, and through greater impact across a wide range of product solutions and business lines.
- Develops and tests product code according to best practices and standards
- Maintains knowledge of product environments and applicable software technologies.
- Provides complete documentation in the form of commented code, problem status information, and design documents
- Completes code and other deliverables on schedule.
- Performs thorough unit testing; supports systems and integration testing as required to provide a quality product.
- Assists in marketing of Flint as required
- Defines the functional specification of program modules ensuring functionality, quality and ease of maintainability
- Accurately estimates the size and scope of the development effort as measured by the product delivery schedule
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience 0-3 years of experience in development (Java)
- Skills:- Excellent knowledge of Java as a programming language,
- Object oriented programming (OOP) concepts
- Good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
- Basic knowledge of computer networking/protocols
- Basic understanding of databases & Linux operating system
- Domain awareness of Cloud, DevOps, IT Process is a plus
- Excellent communication skills (must have)
- Passionate about start up culture with career purpose to learn and grow.
- Willing to work in a start-up environment, independently or with small team.
- Excellent team player & individual contributor
- Positive attitude and ready to learn new technologies/ languages
- Analyzing Information, Problem Solving, Attention to Detail
- Desired Skills: Knowledge of Cloud computing, Web App services, and production SaaS experience a plus
