Job Description

Summary

:

Candidates will be responsible for validation of the quality, performance, resiliency, and security of PerkinElmer Automation Liquid Handling products. Duties include designing test strategies and frameworks for automation, and test planning, implementation, execution, and reporting.
The successful candidate will have significant automation and manual test experience, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to partner with product development teams and manufacturing teams, across the business.

Duties And Responsibilities

Hands-on involvement in all phases of product development, including planning, design, implementation, and execution of manual and automated tests, defect logging and verification and reporting results
Design and develop automation frameworks and test suites to test ALH products and services, working with Engineering, QA, Product Owners, and others
Understand frameworks, approaches, and test strategies used by peer teams; leverage, extend, document wiki and share wherever possible
Champion quality throughout the development process
Work with development teams to facilitate integration and end-to-end verification of functionality across all systems components tests

Job Requirements

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
3+ years' industry experience in QA or Software Engineering
3+ years' experience designing, implementing and executing automated tests
Familiar with C#/C++ programming language and .NET and Visual Studio development tools
Very familiar with Agile development methodologies
Very familiar with version control, bug tracking systems and procedures
Strong sense of ownership, passionate, fast learner, detail-oriented, analytical mindset, perfection seeker
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication and collaboration skills
Experience with communication protocols, such as RS232, CAN and TCP/IP
Experience with automated builds, automated test runs, and commercial installers a plus
