Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in
Manual Testing, Test Automation, and Quality Engineering. The ideal candidate should have
hands-on experience testing Desktop and Web applications, a strong automation
background, exposure to AI-powered testing solutions, and basic development experience
in scripting and application validation.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and automation suites.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, and System Testing.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts for Desktop and Web applications.
• Execute automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to improve test design, defect analysis, and automation
efficiency.
• Work with APIs, databases, and backend services for end-to-end validation.
• Track defects through closure and collaborate with development teams in Agile
environments.
Required Skills
• Strong understanding of STLC and Defect Lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing (Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration).
• Experience with Selenium, TestComplete, QTP/UFT, and preferably Playwright.
• Automation experience using JavaScript and/or Python.
• Understanding of software development concepts and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience with REST API testing, JSON/XML validation, and SQL/database testing.
• Knowledge of Git or SVN version control systems.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
DevOps & CI/CD
• Experience running automated tests in Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab
CI, or similar environments.
• Understanding of modern DevOps and release management practices.
Classified as Business
AI & Modern Engineering Exposure
• Exposure to GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or AI-assisted testing tools.
• Ability to leverage AI for test case generation, script creation, defect analysis, and
productivity improvements.
• Understanding of AI/ML application testing concepts is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
• Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools.
• Basic UI/UX understanding and Figma exposure.
• Knowledge of Polarion.
• Exposure to Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and performance testing tools.
