Job Description
Execute manual and automated test cases.
Identify, document, and report bugs or issues in software.
Collaborate with the development team to resolve defects.
Assist in preparing documentation for testing and user guidance.
Learn and apply software testing techniques and tools effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Software Testing and Validation:

Assist in performing functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

Execute manual test cases based on the software requirements.
-
Verify that software performs according to user requirements and system specifications.
-
Report defects in a clear and concise manner, using bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Mantis.
2. Test Case Design and Execution:

Understand and analyze business and functional requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios.
-
Design and document test cases and test data for various features and modules.
-
Execute test cases manually and record test results.
-
Review test results, identify bugs, and communicate effectively with developers for issue resolution.
3. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of test cases, test results, and bug reports.

Prepare daily/weekly test status reports and share with the QA lead or development team.

Update documentation based on changes in software features or functionality.
4. Collaboration with Development Teams:
-
Work closely with software developers to understand features and expected behavior.

Participate in Agile team discussions, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.

Help developers in reproducing bugs and verifying fixes.
-
Communicate testing progress and issues effectively to the QA or Project Manager.
5. Learning and Skill Development:
-
Attend training sessions and workshops on software testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Learn automated testing tools like Selenium, TestNG, Postman, or JUnit (as per project needs).

Gain a basic understanding of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Stay updated with emerging QA trends and software development technologies.
Skills and Competencies:
Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of software testing concepts: STLC, SDLC, test case design, defect lifecycle.

Familiarity with web and mobile applications.

Knowledge of any bug tracking or test management tool (e.g., JIRA, TestLink, QTest) is a plus.

Exposure to automation tools (like Selenium, Postman, or JMeter) is a bonus, but not mandatory.
