Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a contractual post for its Institute Management System (IMS) as mentioned below:
Tenure: Two Years, extendible commensurate upon performance and evaluation after 1 year.
Software Tester/ Position: 2
Minimum Qualification:B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization or M.C.A with minimum of 60% marks.
Eligibility: Minimum 2 years of software, quality assurance & controlling quality experience.
Proven knowledge in testing solutions in C#, .NET, PHP, ASP.net, SQL, CMS, HTML, JS
and JQUERY.
Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Experience developing tests for functional, performance and regression testing that include automated, ad-hoc, and manual testing elements.
Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating testing activities.
Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to an industry-standard ERP and workflow package.
Strong knowledge of defect tracking systems & test management tools
Sound knowledge and exposure in handling Tally Systems
Experience working with product and development teams to understand product vision andrequirements.
Experience working in an agile environment.
Knowledge of testing automation tools like Selenium, Robotium, Jmeter, etc., will be an
advantage.
Experience in database testing and mobile testing will be an advantage.
Good knowledge and hands-on experience in Core PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, XHTML, CSS3,
XML, JQuery, MYSQL
Should be well versed with OOPS development, Unit testing, Deployment using
LAMP/WAMP and related technologies, tools and best practices
Knowledge and experience of GIT/SVN
Ability to work on several projects concurrently.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Understand and analyse functional and non-functional system requirements.
Develop, execute and manage Test Plan and Test Cases. Perform required monitoring &
reporting on test execution.
Ensure defect-free release on the production environment
Serve as SME for testing process.
Work with cross-functional teams to help identify, triage, and document issues.
Lead functional, performance, and security-related testing activities.
Work with a team of highly-skilled quality professionals to ensure that highest quality product is delivered
Age Limit: 40 years as on last date of application submission
Monthly consolidated pay: Rs. 30,000 – 50,000
