Job Description
Introduction
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Solution Architect - Analytics - Snowflake to design, implement, and manage scalable data analytics solutions using Snowflake as the core data platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data architecture, cloud platforms, analytics frameworks, and BI integrations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and product teams to drive data-driven decision-making and ensure optimal analytics architecture aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture Design & Implementation

Design and architect end-to-end data analytics solutions using Snowflake and associated technologies.

Define data models, schemas, pipelines, and integrations to ensure efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval.

Develop best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration in Snowflake.

Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for enterprise analytics workloads.
2. Snowflake Platform Expertise
-
Leverage Snowflake’s capabilities, including virtual warehouses, clustering, data sharing, Snowpipe, and performance tuning.

Design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt, Talend, Informatica, Fivetran, or Matillion.

Implement time travel, zero-copy cloning, data masking, and RBAC to ensure security and compliance.

Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and external analytics tools.
3. Analytics & BI Integration
-
Collaborate with business teams to design analytics dashboards and reporting frameworks.
-
Integrate Snowflake with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik, or ThoughtSpot.

Enable self-service analytics by defining data marts, curated datasets, and semantic layers.
-
Drive data democratization by empowering users with accessible and actionable insights.
4. Stakeholder Management & Strategy

Work closely with CXOs, product managers, and business leaders to define analytics roadmaps.

Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.

Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering and analytics teams.
5. Security, Governance & Compliance
-
Ensure data security, governance, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

Define and enforce data quality frameworks and governance policies.
-
Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and data masking policies for sensitive information.
-
Monitor data pipelines and establish reliable SLAs for performance and uptime.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills

Snowflake Expertise: Hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Data Engineering: Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, pipelines, and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, Talend, Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran).

Cloud Platforms: Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP data ecosystems.

Programming Skills: Expertise in SQL, and familiarity with Python, Scala, or Java is preferred.

BI Tools: Experience integrating Snowflake with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.

Data Modeling: Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schema, and snowflake schema.

Security & Governance: Experience with data encryption, RBAC, compliance frameworks, and data masking.
