Space Instrumentation Engineer job recruitment in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research
Kolkata (IISER Kolkata)
Position I: Space Instrumentation Engineer in Electronics/Electro-optics at Center of Excellence in Space Sciences India.
Minimum Qualification: B.Tech/BE in Electronics/Opto-Electronics/Applied Physics/Physics with specialization in Electronics/Optics/Lasers and Photonics, First Class or equivalent required
Desired Qualification:1) Experience in handling electronics circuits, interfacing (such as Labview), opto-electronic devices, relevant data handling and analysis 2) .Experience in relevant software and computing languages. 3). Research or developmental experience in relevant fields in optics,electro-optics. 4) M.Tech/M.Sc Tech degree holders may be preferred.
Position II: Space Instrumentation Engineer in Mechanical Engineering at Center of Excellence in Space Sciences India
Minimum Qualification: B.Tech/BE in Mechanical Engineering, First Class or equivalent required
Desired Qualification: 1) Knowledge of conduction and radiation heat transfer, thermo-elastic deformation theory and application 2) Designing mechanical and thermal control components preferably for optical systems. 3) Analysis of mechanical and thermal design with FEM simulation preferably for optics and opto-mechanical systems, with tools like SolidWorks Simulations. 4) Experience in conducting thermal transient and thermal static simulation studies for dissipation from electronics 5) Ability to use other CAD and Simulation tools like AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Ansys. 6) Some basic skills in programming with C, C++, and/or script languages like Python is expected. The candidate should be willing to learn the requisite abilities quickly. 7) Familiarity with integrating and testing optics and optomechanics will be an added advantage. Any experience of working on satellite payload development related activities will be highly valuable.8)Candidates with MTech may be preferred.
Salary Range : Rs. 48000 - Rs. 60000
