Job Description

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Plan and execute therapy sessions for individuals with special educational needs (SEN)
2. Demonstrate a goal-oriented approach at school to achieve independence in behavior, academics and social practices
3. Establish and enforce structure and plans (IEPs, ISPs, etc. ) that ensure the academic engagement and behavioral and cognitive growth of a child in a school or home environment
4. Plan and execute different activities from a holistic developmental approach while conducting home sessions for children on the Autism spectrum, specific learning disability, down syndrome, intellectual deficits, etc.
5. Adapt and modify the general education curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student by creating and implementing specialized instructional strategies and materials
6. Stay up-to-date with best practices in the field of psychology and special education for professional development through ongoing training by our team
7. Provide independence training to adults with special needs and other challenges that impact their ability to succeed and be productive in our society, which includes social skills training and vocational and job-related skills training
8. Collaborate with internal and external teams (e.g. school counselors and speech therapists) to formulate therapy plans and maintain documents
