Skills: ITO NICHE SKILLS - MAINFRAME CONSOLE OPERATIONS-HMC / IPL / SAD
Job description:
- Good Communications skills
- Sound knowledge of Mainframe infrastructure.
- Sound knowledge on Mainframe consoles, HMC, batch, subsystems.
- Sound knowledge on tools like CA7,ESP,Control M and OPC
- Sound knowledge on Console monitoring.
- Good at MVS commands.
- Good at JCL.
Process Skills:
- Monitoring & Maintaining Production LPARS and handling all tape related s.
- Good knowledge in Performing Scheduled Outages, IPL’s, and Clock Changes.
- Providing the immediate Fixes and submitting the jobs from CA7,ESP,Control M and OPC
- Handling SRTs (Service Restoration Team) and RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) of abends.
- Manage JES spool and diagnose hardware and software problem informing to the support team.
- Stopping and Starting DB2/CICS subsystem as per support team specifications during Special activity changes and Upgrading.
- Display / Start/ Bounce / Stop CICS.
- First & second level break-fix support for Mainframe-Infrastructure and its components.
- Participate as a member of the Service Restoration Team for severity 1 or 2 problems
- Knowledge on DR’s.
Behavioral Skills:
- First & second level break-fix support for Mainframe-Infrastructure and its components.
- Participate as a member of the Service Restoration Team for severity 1 or 2 problems
