Position: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Manovikas Kendra, Baloda Bazar
Department: Rehabilitation
Reports to: Project Director
Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with other therapists, educators, and family members to develop and implement personalised treatment plans for patients across age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
• Provide therapy sessions to individuals or groups, using evidence-based techniques and tools.
• Educate and train patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to improve communication and swallowing function.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment progress, and outcomes.
• Stay current with developments in speech-language pathology through continued education and training.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards as defined by licensing boards and organisational policies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid license or certification from a recognised Speech Therapy Licensing Board (e.g., RCI registration in India).
• Proven experience as a Speech Therapist or in a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centric approach with strong observational abilities.
• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic tools, equipment, and software. Preferred Skills: • Experience working with children or special needs populations (e.g., autism, cerebral palsy). • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices.
Language Preference: Hindi
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm.
Salary: As per industry standards and experience.
