Your Role and Responsibilities
Research, design, evaluate and recommend major hardware and software enhancements for the infrastructure environment
- Participates in team on-call rotation
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 3+ Years’ experience in IT Security with Splunk.
- Knowledge of Splunk architecture, various components (indexer, forwarder, search head, deployment server, Universal forwarder).
- Exposure to Design, support and maintain the Splunk infrastructure in a highly available configuration ,monitoring and supporting Splunk Servers and Configurations.
- Experience in managing the licenses, creating the license master, connecting the license slaves to them, and managing the license pools.
- Experience of Installation and configuring the Universal Forwarders, Heavy Forwarders, Splunk Search Head Cluster, create data retention policies and performed index administration, maintenance, and optimization and Updated the Splunk infrastructure to latest version standalone and clustering environment.
- Splunk DB connect App installation experience.
- Competence with Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- One or more security certifications: CEH, Security+, GSEC, GCIH, etc.,
- You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
- Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
- Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
