Recruitment against Sports Quota (Through Open Advertisement) for the year 2020-21. Online applications are invited from eligible sportspersons in following sports disciplines in 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-2 or 3, Level-4 and Level-5 on South East Central Railway:

1. Name of the Post: Sports Quota

2. No of Post: 26

3. Salary: 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-4 or 5 (6th CPC:- GP-2400 or 2800) 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-2 or 3 (6th cpc: GP-1900 or 2000)

4. Minimum Educational Qualification:

a) Level-2 and Level 3: 12th for non-technical posts. or 10th with ITI for technical posts. However, candidates having only 10th qualification may also apply. They may be considered for Technician categories, but their training period will be 03 years, unless they pass ITI qualification in the relevant trade.

b) Level -4: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. OR 1st Year B. Sc. (Physics) or 12ft+2stage) in Science (Physics or Maths). OR 12th(+2stage) with Stenography (Hindi or English as per scheduled standards for recruitment in Rlys.) etc

c) Level-5: Graduation in any discipline or equivalent.

5. Additional acceptable sports achievements/Minimum Sports norms for certain disciplines:

a) In Athletics: For posts of Pay Level 2 only: Medal winning performance in National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships may also be considered. For posts of Pay Level 4 or 5 : Gold medal winner in Open National Championship (Senior), Inter-State Athletics Championships (Senior) and Asian Championship (Senior) may be considered.

b) In Golf: For recruitment against the posts having Grade Pay Rs.I,900 or Rs.2,000 in Pay Band Rs.5,200-20,200: sportsperson having I.G.U. ranking upto 60; subject to single handicap i.e. less than 10 (in order of Merit/Amateur Merit list) shall also be eligible for recruitment. Only the current Annual All India Ranking shall be considered for these purposes.

c) The highest ranking in the year of recruitment may be considered for the purpose. The players may be allowed to play in professional tournaments only after completing 5 years after their recruitment after taking NOC from RSPB.

Age Limit:

Age limit as on 01-07-2021: 18 to 25 years only.

Application Fees:

Rs.500 (Rupees five hundred) only for all (except the categories exempted for fee relaxation) with the provision for refunding Rs 400 after deducting bank charges to those eligible candidates who appears in the trial. Rs. 250 (Rupees two hundreds fifty) for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, Women, minorities and Economically backward classes with the provision for refunding full amount after deducting bank charges to those eligible Candidates, who appears in the trial.
