What You Will Be Doing

Participate in various design discussions, Sprint Events, understanding epic work
Participate in test planning and execution activities
Continuously improvising on tests, identify test gaps and come-up with ways to bridge those gaps
Interact with various stake-holders to execute on product goals
Possess a strong desire for quality and 'test to break' attitude
Automation of regression test cases

What skills, experience and education you need as a team member to succeed:

Bachelor degree with experience in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering streams
3 to 5 years of work experience in software testing / development / support
Hands on experience on installation and configuration of various operating systems (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, RedHat, SUSE and Windows server family)
Experience with setting up test environments for client-server and distributed systems in both UNIX/LINUX (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, RedHat, SUSE) and Windows environments
Strong QA knowledge with experience working on enterprise software products (preferred)
Networking, Virtualization, File Systems working knowledge
Web UI Testing knowledge
Basics of Storage Technology â NAS, SAN, Arrays, Filers, etc. will be added advantage
Familiarity with scripting and/or programming languages and/or tools such as: Python, Perl, Shell, etc. Experience working on automation project will be an added advantage
Experience in identifying scenarios and writing test plans, test cases and execution, test bed creation
Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
Detect, report, and supervise software defects
Apply Quality Engineering principles throughout the agile product life cycle to identify defect and design flaws
Collaborate with the development team to improve the quality of the deliverable and ensure the business needs are met
Highly self-motivated, goal oriented, and self-directed
