1. Name of the Post: Sr. Technical Officer-1 / Gr. III (4) [Group-A]
2. Pay Level –– 10 [Rs.56100-177500] of the Pay Matrix (approximate total emoluments=Rs.83313/**- p.m.]
3. No. of Posts: 07 (Seven) [including 01 SC Backlog]
4. Essential Qualification:
i. Master’s degree in Geophysics / Applied Geophysics / Geophysical Technology with not less than 55% marks plus Two years of experience in the relevant area of work from a recognized Institute/ Organization
ii. Master’s degree in Geology / Physics / Hydrology with not less than 55% marks plus Two years of experience in the relevant area of work from a recognized Institute/ Organization
iii. Master’s degree in Physics /Mathematics / Statistics/Computer Science with not less than 55% marks or Master in Computer Application (MCA) after 1st class in B.Sc./BCA plus Two years of experience in the relevant area of work from a recognized Institute/ Organization
5. Desirable:
i. Experience in data acquisition, processing and modelling in the area of Electrical/ Electromagnetic/ Magnetotelluric/ Gravity/ Magnetic/ Seismic/ Seismology
ii. Experience in sampling / coring/ cutting /data collection, / analysis/ GIS/ RS/ Geospatial data handling / Geohydrological surveys / investigations
iii. Experience in Earth Process Modelling / MATLAB / Mathematica / Python
6. Job requirement:
i. Technical support in the R&D activities in the subject area of Electrical/ Electromagnetic/ Gravity/ Magnetic/ Magnetotelluric/ Seismic & Seismology and allied activities
ii. Technical support in the R&D activities in the subject area of Geology/ Geochemistry/ Geochronology/ GIS/ Palaeomagnetism / Geohydrological surveys / investigations and allied activities
iii. Technical support in the R&D activities in area of Earth Process Modelling and allied activities

2. Pay Level – 11 [Rs.67700-208700] of the Pay Matrix (approximate total emoluments=Rs.99669/**- p.m.]
3. No. of Posts: 04
4. Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/ Hydrology/ Physics with not less than 55% marks plus Five years of experience in the relevant area of work from a recognized Institute/ Organization.
5. Desirable: Experience in Electrical/ Electromagnetic/ Gravimetry/ Geodesy/ Hydrology/ Geomagnetism/ GPS/ Magnetic/ Magnetotelluric/ Seismic/ Seismology / Geophysical signal processing
6. Job requirement: Technical support in R&D activities in the area of Electrical/ Electromagnetic/ Gravimetry/ Geodesy/ Geomagnetism/ Hydrology/ Magnetic/ Magnetotelluric/ Seismic/ Seismology / Geophysical signal processing and allied activities
