Sr. WordPress Developer

2-6 Yrs experienced

MUST HAVE SKILLS :

Minimum 2 years experience of PHP programming, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, Javascript
Extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice & defacto standard plugins
Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level:
Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions.
Creation of custom post types.
Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform with Wordpress coding standards.
Creation of clean, logical, welldocumented and reusable code.
Theme/template integration.
Knowledge of WordPress Network (Multisite) beneficial.
Experience creating multilingual websites.
Good understanding of crossplatform and crossbrowser issues.
Experience with creating responsive websites.
Use of jQuery / AJAX / Prototype / script.aculo.us an advantage.
Previous experience working for a design agency advantageous.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Develop high-end wordpress plugins using Classes and utilising WP filters and actions
Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as a liaison between development staff and project manager.
Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development
