Qualification : Ph.
D or M.Sc. (with 4-5 years B.Sc. or NET/GATE qualified as per ICAR rule) in
Soil Science/ Agronomy/ Agro-forestry
Desirable : Experience in carbon sequestration study/
organic matter management/ conservation agriculture/ soil and plant analysis
Emoluments : Emoluments payable is as per ICAR guidelines.
Age Limit : Maximum age limit is 35 years for men and 40
years for women candidate

It is the first institute of its kind setup by ICAR which encompasses all the disciplines of agriculture, horticulture, animal siciences, agricultural engineering, agro forestry and fishery to cater to the research needs of the tribal areas of NEH Region including Sikkim.
